Primelis SEO Agency: Are They Really The Best Enterprise SEO Firm?
Why does Primelis SEO have such high search volumes for a brand query?
According to many popular SEO tools like SemRush, Ahrefs, and Shine Ranker, the brand "Primelis SEO" gets searched a lot on Google. According to these keyword tracking tools, the brand Primelis gets searched thousands of times per month. But are they really that popular?
Primelis SEO claims to be one of the worlds leaders in search engine optimization, however it doesn't take an SEO expert to compare the volume of branded searches with the amount of traffic their website actually receives.
It's sort of weird when an SEO agency's brand gets thousands more searches than even the most popular product or service related keywords they rank for. Or don't rank for...
Why is Primelis SEO getting searched so much on Google?
A good guess would be click through rate manipulation.
Now I cannot officially confirm or deny that SEO Primelis is using CTR manipulation,
as I have no affiliation with their company, and the information contained on this page is merely my opinion (formed by years of experience with SEO and some light research into this company offering seo services.)
However, I can say that when I've experimented with CTR manipulation on my own websites, that is exactly how my analytics looked inside popular keyword tracking tools.
As you may have guessed, when you send a ton of fake (or bought) traffic to a particular keyword, the search volume for that keyword spikes. When you send CTR manipulation traffic to a branded search while not actually ranking for many other keywords, it's not hard to figure out what is going on...
Don't take my word for it, just go plug their website into a keyword tool like Neil Patel's UberSuggest!
Notice how all of the keywords bringing significant traffic to their website contain their brand name, Primelis?
Ok, now compare that to the traffic they get from product or service keywords (not containing their brand.) Notice how these unbranded keywords bring them virtually no traffic?
According to this publicly accessible data, one of two things is happening...
Either SEO agency Primelis has developed telepathic communication, and has subliminally and subconsciously instructed tens of thousands of people to search for their brand spanking new brand...
(As in, less than 7 months old, according to Neil Patel's tool!)
They are using CTR manipulation to drive obscene amounts of traffic to their website.
Which do you think it is?
What exactly is CTR manipulation?
CTR manipulation, also known as click through rate manipulation, is the practice of sending fake or paid traffic to "search for" or engage with your website (or other online properties) for the purpose of boosting your rank in search engines. Since we know that Google's increasingly complex algorithms track a users entire search session, it is logical to assume that by manipulating our engagement, we can also manipulate our rank in the serps (search engine results pages.)
So how does click through manipulation work?
CTR manipulation can be accomplished in a number of ways. The simplest and most popular way is to use bots, or PC sharing services, to run a script that repeatedly searches for and "clicks on" your website. The problem with bots and tools, however, is that the Google algorithm can easily identify bot traffic, and either disregard it, or even penalize your website. That's not to say that this type of CTR manipulation doesn't work at all, it's just not the best way to do it.
A better way to do CTR manipulation, although quite a bit more work, is to setup a network of mobile devices, and complete the searches manually yourself using the various devices. Since this method requires multiple mobile devices, all with unique sim cards and IP addresses, obviously this method can be quite cost and labor intensive. Who has the time to drive all over town with a bunch of smartphones?
